Bernie Wilson
Lead Carpenter

Bernie is originally from our neighbor to the north, Beautiful Alberta, Canada.  Early on in life, his carpentry career began by working for building contractors.  He credits his strong work ethic and the hands on opportunities given by employers to build his skills throughout the years.  As part of the Westhill Lead Carpenter team, Bernie is terrific with facilitating the customer’s vision turning it into a reality.

Bernie is an active member in organizations; such as, The Amateur Model Association, Washington Fly Fishing Club and The Seattle Chess Club.  He also enjoys boat building, computer games, photography, snow shoeing, hiking and sailing.




Dale Loveland
Lead Carpenter

Dale’s career path in the construction industry began in 1982, working in a family business, framing homes.  He continued in the field perfecting his skills in general carpentry, learning siding, building spec homes before coming to work for Westhill.  Dale is a very experienced craftsman, does a terrific job of keeping our projects on time and on budget and establishes great relationships with our customers. 

Some of Dale’s extracurricular activities include being an active member of Christ the King Lutheran Church , an active sportsman in Ducks Unlimited, and he is also Tyee Member of the University of Washington , supporting academics and athletics.

In his spare time, Dale spends time with his four daughters, watches sports, and likes to snow ski.





Dave Coster
Customer Service Manager/
Lead Carpenter

Dave has played a significant part in helping Westhill grow since joining our family in 1994.  He was hired on as a laborer and quickly moved up the ranks to Lead Carpenter.  In addition to running our jobs, Dave serves as the Customer Service Manager and as a member of our Executive Team.  

As the Customer Service Manager he oversees all warranty and emergency requests as well as doing job closeouts, and inspecting for quality assurance.

Dave is a Washington State native.  He enjoys traveling, hunting, fishing and riding his ATV. 




Jeff Chambers
Lead Carpenter

Jeff experienced home remodeling from an early age, as his family sought to remodel every home in which they lived.  Enjoying the fruits of their labor, Jeff joined a small remodeling company while attending college, seeking a degree in medicine.  Jeff soon decided carpentry was what he really loved, and has been in the field for 30 years.  For 12 of those years, Jeff owned a remodeling company.

Years of experience in many facets of the remodeling industry made Jeff a perfect Lead Carpenter candidate when he joined Westhill in November 2002.

In 1974, Jeff moved from California making Bothell his home.  His interests are enjoying life with his wife and grandchildren, remodeling his own home and gardening.




Lanny Nelson
Lead Carpenter

Born in EugeneOR,  Lanny ventured throughout the NW area from Edmonds to Wenatchee and from San Antonio to Kimball, NE before settling here.

At a young age, Lanny was introduced to the building industry learning the trade from his father a Corps of Engineers Estimator.  He switched to residential projects in the early 1980’s and now has 30 years experience under his belt and a CGR certification.

As a new team member with Westhill Inc. “He is here to help the company grow anyway he’s needed.” Lanny is “dedicated to manage, build and improve client’s lives and homes while making this a prosperous company for everyone involved.”

In his spare time, Lanny is involved in the Boy Scouts with his son and is a member of a diving club and the YMCA.  He also enjoys classic cars and outdoor activities.




Steve Coster
Lead Carpenter

A Washington native, Steve has been surrounded by the building business his whole life. Being close to the Russell family since Westhill''s inception, he started hanging out at job sites, wearing a tool belt at a very early age.

For several years, Steve has worked as a skilled Lead Carpenter taking on the responsibility of seeing projects through from concept through completion.  In addition, Steve serves as our "green building" specialist, keeping abreast of the latest products and processes for protecting our environment.

Steve holds an Associates Degree in Science.  When he is not spending time with his wife, scuba diving, playing soccer or camping, he volunteers at the Senior Services of Seattle.




Todd Vogt
Lead Carpenter

Lead Carpenter Todd Vogt has been remodeling and building homes since 1985.  As a seasoned carpenter, he has brought to Westhill many skills, including special training on seismic retrofitting and earthquake resistant structures.  He commends many “talented” carpenters who have been willing to teach him along the way, thus helping him to enhance his construction knowledge.

Todd hails from Washington State , born in Anacortes and raised in Edmonds . He is an active member of the NSV Church and acts as a Youth Minister.  He is also a coach for the Boys & Girls Club.  His hobbies include singing and comedic acting as well as Tae Kwon Do. 





Wayne Pippin
Lead Carpenter

Lead Carpenter Wayne Pippin won the Employee of the 4th Quarter 2003 recognition. Wayne has been with Westhill since 1996. He began as a laborer. His skills and dedication to customer service moved him quickly up the ladder to a Lead Carpenter position. Wayne has done award-winning projects, featured in the Master Builders Association Remodeled Homes Tours and remodeling magazines.

During his off time, Wayne enjoys scuba diving, fishing and spending time with his wife and twin daughters.
